The team

Fashion and tech veterans, Nancy Rhodes and the Alternew team are uniquely equipped to modernize after-sales care. Nancy brings over 20 years of experience in retail and design, working with brands like Kenneth Cole and Beyoncé’s Dereon, and retailers ranging from Bloomingdale's to Target, Marshalls, and even Costco. Like so many in the industry, she became increasingly aware of fashion’s waste problem, leading her to pursue a Master’s in sustainability. There, she became obsessed with "products as a service" and focused her thesis on democratizing fashion care and repair.

Today, Alternew partners with national fashion brands to digitally transform and launch alterations and repairs offerings, making garment care an integrated part of the post-purchase experience. The company’s success is thanks to a team that reflects the industry’s evolving needs—spanning design, engineering, data analytics, compliance, and even tailoring. This unique combination of expertise allows Alternew to develop scalable, white-label solutions that seamlessly integrate with retailers, ensuring a consistent, high-quality customer experience while unlocking new revenue streams.

Alternew advisors bring deep insights from brand, tech, and resale leaders, including Burberry, Calvin Klein, Archive, and Vestiaire Collective, alongside mentorship from ERA, a prestigious New York tech accelerator completed earlier this year. With a focus on data-driven insights, localized service networks, and a scalable SaaS platform for fashion care, Alternew is positioned to transform the after-sales journey and drive the industry toward a more circular and profitable future.
